Jose Guadalupe Lugo

Jose is survived by his wife Gricelda Lugo, his children Joe Jonathan, Joseph Santos, Jasmine (Raven), Chelsey and Shayla, and his granddaughter Sage; his parents Maria de Jesus Lugo and Jose Santos Lugo; brother Luis Alberto (Priscilla) and sister Maria del Carmen (Jose).

"Payo" was always there to lend a hand, regardless of how big or small the task may be. Not only was he a hard worker, but he was also a kind and caring person. As a young adult, he went into the Navy and then continued his education in college, leading him to work in the oil industry. During his free time, you could always find him working on various hobbies ranging from gardening with his wife Gricelda, to working on refurbishing classic cars, to traveling. He was always on the go and onto the next thing. He was a loving and dedicated husband, an amazing father to his kids and an all around stand-up guy. He will be missed deeply and forever live in our hearts.

A visitation for Jose will be held Saturday October 23, 2021 and Sunday October 24, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM both days at Funeraria del Angel Highland, Weslaco, TX 78599. A church service will occur Monday, October 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM at San Martin de Porres, followed by the interment at 3:00 PM at Highland Memorial Park.
