Our Mother was born on January 20th, 1939 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico. She is the second eldest of three sisters and one brother. Daughter of Alfredo and Nieves Lechuga. On November of 1965 at the age of 26, she married Eduardo (Lalo) Maldonado whose marriage lasted for 47 years! At the age of 27 years old she gave birth to her first son Eduardo (Lalin) Maldonado. At the age of 29 she gave birth to her second son Alfonso (Poncho) Maldonado. She was blessed with her first daughter Maria (Muñeca) Maldonado at the age of 31 and went on to have another son at the age of 33, Enrique (Kiki) Maldonado. Ten years later at the age of 43 years old, she was surprised but overjoyed to give birth to her last daughter Mayra (Yaya) Maldonado.
Psalm 127:3, Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from HIM.
She was the glue who held her family together; she was strong and loved all her kids with all of her heart! Through difficulty and pain, she managed to keep her family together and never gave up on anyone she loved!
At the age of 81, on February 29th, 2020, surrounded by her family she breathed her last! She will be greatly missed but it’s not farewells but a see you later; for her true life has just begun and we will be reunited once again! In loving memory of our mother!
