I've never met anyone quite like Oscar. His work ethic and positive attitude was truly an inspiration to everyone. He seized each and every day, bringing nothing but unending happiness and infectious laughter. I never imagined a world without him as my friend. My deepest condolences to the Higuera family and Cindy Garcia. A void has been left in all our lives; the world has lost a truly exceptional human. One that challenged us to find the good in each and every day, and never lose sight of the beauty that surrounds us. My Coachella brother; our time together will never be forgotten. Rest in peace.

Oscar, cousin & brother, you'll forever live within our hearts. We miss you each day that goes by but I know your in a better place exploring the wonders of heaven with our abuelitos. I can already hear you saying "yo, this place is amazing!" You always made the uglyiest of places look amazing. You had such an amazing spirit full of life & beauty. Your laugh was so contagious & full of energy. You were always there for everyone & I know you still are. Thank for all your teachings that you leave us. It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

Oscar, you were an outstanding role model to all. You enjoyed life, loved your family, adored your fiance, respected others, constantly educated yourself and strived for a stable future, vacation and explored, always smiled, always just an amazing example of a human being.  You may have left this earth, but you also left behind your legacy.  We will all find the strength to move forward and live just as you did.  You taught us all what life is all about.  Not to always work too hard without enjoying each moment and live for each day.  Rest in peace dear friend.  I will never forget you.

Your endless smile, your unique laughter, your great sense of humor, and welcoming personality will forever be in our hearts.  All that knew you, love you.  I loved you as I love all of your family.
