Roberto Hernandez Sr.

Roberto Hernandez Sr.was born on April 11, 1931 in El Paso, Texas to Ana & Antonio Hernandez. Roberto was raised in El Paso, Texas. Roberto was raised with three siblings, Emma, Mari Louisa and Edwardo.

Roberto was a Navy Veteran and he was stationed overseas. Roberto saw action for World War II. After he was discharged from the Navy he was a carpenter by trade.

Roberto Moved to California where he married his wife Lydia in 1954 in Los Angeles. Roberto raised five children, two sons, George and Bobby, three daughters Olga, Annie and Gina. They were also blessed with twelve grandchildren, Sandra, Elizabeth, George, Aurora, Charlene, Yvette, John, Laticia, Erik, Tiffany, Jessica and Robert. He also had 23 great-grandchildren that he enjoyed more than anything.

Roberto Hernandez Sr. passed away on November 29, 2010 in Baldwin park, CA. He is survived by wife Lydia, his children, George, Olga, Annie, Gina and Bobby as well his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A rosary will take place on Wednesday December 8, 2010 at 6:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Pierce Brothers West Covina Mortuary, 2333 West Merced Avenue West Covina, CA.

Mass services will be held at St Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church in Riverside, CA on Thursday December 9, 2010 at 10:00 am with funeral services to follow at Riverside National Cemetery,22495 Van Buren Blvd Riverside, CA.
