An Viet Nguyen, 80, of Des Moines passed from this life on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Mercy West Lakes. Services will be 11 am Saturday, December 17, 2011 at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with entombment at Resthaven Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 pm Friday at McLaren’s. He was born in Hanoi, Vietnam on January 10, 1931 the son of Dan Viet Nguyen and Nam Thi Lai and served in the South Vietnamese Air force. Survivors include his wife Hoi Thi Nguyen, seven children and their spouses,16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
