A Life Remembered
Betty Florence Lloyd of Coon Rapids formerly from Des Moines, Iowa passed away at the age of 87 with her family beside her on Friday, April 21, 2023.
Betty enjoyed trips to the casino whether it was alone, with her daughter and grandson or most of all with her deceased son. If there was a home I-Cubs game she was there. Her saying always was “We go to the first game, last game, and as many as we can in between.” Her last job was a door greeter at Wal-Mart which she loved because she was a people person. She loved bowling with her kids.
Betty treasured her grandson, Daniel, from the day he came into the world. It took her back in time helping to raise Daniel along with his sisters, Josie and Codie. Later in life came his sons that meant just as much to her along with great-grandson, Joseph. Jaxsen and Stella came into the world within the last six years. Those children could always make their great-grandma smile. Stella’s favorite thing was to sing “You are my Sunshine” with grandma. She will be missed so dearly by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by three of her children, Carl Wright, David Wright and Betty “Goldie” Johnson. She leaves behind her children, Kim (Matt) McDonald, James (Bobby) Lloyd, Dianne Lorenz, Donna (Robert) Wissler, Dorothy Parcel, and Colleen (Cedric) Robinson; along with a brother, Ernie Cummings; several grandkids, Daniel (Stef) Lloyd, Codie (Jake) West, Josie (Chris) Neagle, Chris (Andrew) Markham, Andrew ( Amy) Casner, Tina McClain, Kelly (Matt) Parcel, Charlie ( Mike) Northway, Christopher (Jayde) Wissler and Jessica (Ty) Perkins; as well as many great-grandkids.
