Brian Michael Woody Woody

Brian Michael Woody, 27, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at West Des Moines Christian Church with a memorial service at 4:30 p.m.

Brian was born May 12, 1989 in Des Moines, IA. He graduated from Southeast Polk High School in 2007 where he was a drummer in the marching band. Brian loved music, music festivals, movies, fishing, mushroom hunting, camping outdoors and the state of Tennessee. He was a loving and caring person; an awesome father and class clown. Brian liked giving hugs and had a big heart; he was known as Woody.

Brian is survived by his mother, Tori Lynn Rohde of Ankeny; father, Patrick Michael Woody of Reasnor; significant other, Tiffany Six of Pleasant Hill; daughter, Melody Woody of Pleasant Hill; sisters, Kacie (Scott) Behrens of Urbandale and their children, Elizabeth and Catherine, Brianna (Jon) Jewell of Mason City and their children, Adalynn and Adam, and Tammy Woody of Reasnor; brother, Ryan Woody of Colfax; grandparents, Steve and Ruth Bookout of Newton and Junior and Vikki Sharp of Malcom; great-grandparent, Juanita Deppe of Newton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Delmar and Patricia Woody.
