Deb, Kim and Brian - Deb and Kim you know how close I hold you in my heart.  The Jolliffe's have given me the honor of being a part of their family for these many years so I know how your hearts ache.  Your Dad, Granmpa and husband was also there for all of you and I know he will continue to hold all of you in his arms to protect, care and love you for all times.

Grandpa,
I wish you were still here. I hate the fact that we'll never be able to talk again. I hope you know how much you meant to me. You always made me feel like you were so proud of me. You truly are the best grandpa I could ever ask for. Thank you for always being there for me.

Dad,
I will miss you so much. I feel so fortunate to have had you for as long as we did. I know you are in a better place and your suffering is over. I will always remember our "debates" (or you could call them just plain arguments). But whatever you want to call it, it was always with love and respect for each others opinions. You will always always be in my heart. And I will always think of you when i play a hand of gin rummy. I was taught by the best (but you could never beat me). Love you, Dad.

Kaden said it best, Dad, when he touched my heart and told me, "Don't be sad, Grandma.  Grandpa Jolliffe will always be with you because he's right here in your heart."  No more pain.  Give Grandpa Hamar and Grandma Flo a hug and a kiss for me (and tell Grandpa his chili is raved about to this day and Grandma that I've still never had a potato salad that could hold a candle to hers).  I love you.   And I'm keeping you in my heart, Dad ... always...  Debbie

Dear Grandpa,
I can't believe you are gone.  I was really hoping you would make it through it and be here for my graduation.  I was really sad when I heard you passed away.  It was really hard to see you go. I never thought that you would be gone so soon.  I always had so much fun playing and talking to you. You always listened to what i had to say.  I Loved your hashbrowns in the morning - you knew how I liked my hashbrowns.  Anywhere I wanted to go you always took me.  When I spent the nights you always let me sleep with Grandma.  We have so many memories and I will never forget those memories.  I will always remember the good times, and the bad.  I Loved waking up and hearing your stories about hearing Grandma and I laughing! I still cant believe you didn't hear Grandma fall out of bed.  We always laughed so hard.  I Love the time I got to spend with you.  I Love you and I will miss you so much!! It's not the same with out you here.  Everybody misses you!!  I wish you were still here with me.  I got my Senior pictures taken and I wish you were here to see them. I know you are so proud of me and I will keep making you proud - Grandpa.  If you were still here i would yell at you for leaving Grandma like this.

Just a little not to say you are going to be missed soo much!!!  Thank you for always being there for me in good, bad, happy or sad. I will never forget you ever!!!  But you needed to go so you don't have to suffer ever again!  So I guess I will let you go so you can be happy and at peace :-} So every time I look up I will see your "smile" watching over me. Dave, I will always remember the first time I met you and becoming a part of this unified family by marriage on June 1, 1996.  You welcomed me into the family in open arms.  I will treasure the times we sat and had conversations on the Political agenda, Military Service you and I both shared our times of Serving the Country, Sports, National and Local News.  We would sit and debate for hours but in the end it was all in fun!  You were there to support any/all who would simply ask to talk.  I know you were a loyal Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoyed watching me cheer on for my Nebraska Cornhuskers (GO BIG RED!!) and then stay within the Big 12 Conference and support the Iowa State Cyclones - I still remember the night you called me at home to let me know of your home state, Kansas State Wildcats beating my Huskers...oh the memories will live on.  I also know how you appreciated Kelly and I for being there for you,(Janet) in time of need throughout all these years.  You will be missed and loved by all.  I,we want to thank you for being you.
