Jack Antone Myer Jr.-Father Abraham, 55, passed away at home on Thursday, June 4, 2020. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with visitation from 12 Noon until service time at McLaren’s. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Antone was born June 22, 1964 in Des Moines to Jack and Madonna (Ferrari) Myer. He graduated in 1982 from Valley High School. Antone graduated from Iowa State with a Bachelors in Political Science. He attended Holy Cross in Boston and was tonsured as a monk and ordained as a priest in 2014. He always enjoyed a good debate with family and friends. Especially his niece, Jessica and nephew, Jacob, who he was always eager to pass his extensive knowledge on too.
Antone is survived by his parents, Jack (Jan); sister, Carmen Myer; brothers, Jeff (Julie) Hogenson and Wayne Hogenson (Margot Hughes) and their families; niece and nephew, Jessica and Jacob Engstrom; and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Madonna and brother, Charles “Chuckie”.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a future designation.
