Kimberly “Kym” Wolcott, 42, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Kym was born January 16, 1975 in Des Moines to Deborah Neuman and Ken Wolcott. She graduated from Urbandale High School in 1993 and from Simpson College in 2009. Kym worked at the 5th Judicial District and Youth Emergency Services Shelter. She was a crafty cat lover who loved photography. Kym was a former member of Point of Grace Church in Waukee.
She is survived by her son, who was the center of her life, Jarrod; mother, Deb (Tom) Neuman; father, Ken (Pat) Wolcott; grandparents, Galen (Joyce) Murtle; step-brother, Thad (Mandy) Neuman; step-sister, Sarah (Mike) Saladino; uncle, Scott Murtle; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
