Lisa Michele Meinhart

Lisa Michele Meinhart, age 64, passed away on December 29, 2023, at Everystep Kavanagh House in Des Moines, IA. Visitation will take place from 5 - 7 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2024, at McLaren’s Chapel (801 19th Street West Des Moines, IA 50265). Memorial donations may be made to the Elks National Foundation (2750 N Lakeview Ave Chicago, IL 60614-1889). Lisa’s remains will be put into the Elks Mausoleum at Woodlawn Cemetery in Santa Monica, California.

Lisa was born on August 20, 1959, in Ladera Heights, CA. She was raised by her parents Barry and Myrna (Kahn) Kiek. Lisa graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 1977. She was united in marriage to Kim Thomas Meinhart in February 1993, in Woodburn, Oregon. Lisa worked for the Beverly Hills Police Department, the LA coroner’s office and lawyer’s office. Her most recent job at Oneok was by far a favorite, the people whom she worked with were like family.

Lisa loved her kitties and being a part of the Elks club. Lisa was a member of BPO of Elks, she was the exalted ruler in Redondo Beach, CA from 2007-2008. And the officer of the year for the Santa Monica Elks 2002-2003, along with many other awards throughout the years.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Kim Meinhart of West Des Moines; step-children: Chris (Tricia) Meinhart of Fairfield, CA, Colleen (Nick) Howe of Des Moines and Jessica (fiancé Zac) Meinhart of Des Moines; siblings: Leslie Kiek of Terrazas and Larry Kiek and her lifelong best friend of 50 plus years, Sandy McClave. Lisa was recently connected to her biological family- a brother, Patrick Doody and sisters, Brenda Testerman and Lita Doody.

She is preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Warrick, parents and grandparents.
