Michael Lee Elmore

Michael Lee Elmore, 44, was born in Peoria, Illinois on August 1, 1977, to Carole Ann Sauers and Gerald Lee Elmore Jr. He lived in Peoria until he went to college at Iowa State University where he studied Chemical Engineering. Upon graduation, Michael worked in the Engineering and Food Manufacturing industry taking him to Nebraska, Georgia, and Pennsylvania and eventually returning to Iowa to be closer to family and friends. Along his journey, he also acquired his MBA at the University of South Carolina.

Michael enjoyed physical fitness and even ran a marathon. He had a passion for travel and seeing places, with London being a city he enjoyed and visited twice. He was a strong Christian and cared for others. He enjoyed music and going to concerts and especially liked Kelly Clarkson, Shawn Mendes, and Josh Groban. Let’s not forget his serious love for sweets!

Michael cared deeply for his two dogs, Cooper and Tallulah. Michael was preceded in death by his mother and grandmother, Evelyn Williams. He is survived by his aunt Linda Whitlatch, uncle Donald Sauers, cousins Dennie Whitlatch and Penny McNicol, and close friend Amanda Greiner.
