Ruth Irene Scott, 85, passed away peacefully October 30, 2014. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with burial following at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Irene was an active member of Cottage Grove Presbyterian Church in Des Moines. She is survived by three children, Randy Scott, Roger (Jackie) Scott and Pam (Pete) Reichart; five grandsons; 13 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; and sister, Geraldine Parrish. Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Marvin and great-granddaughter, Payton Reichart.
