Raised in West Des Moines, Travis graduated from Walnut Creek before earning a degree in Criminal Justice from Hamilton Business College. As a baby, Travis was often carried around by his sister, Tanya, who lovingly took him everywhere she went, nurturing their close bond from an early age. He also had a special passion for fishing, often enjoying the pastime with his brothers, Eric and Josh, as well as his brother-in-law, Brett. He had many family memories with Liane, Cindy, Lindy and Doug, and these experiences strengthened their bonds and created lasting memories. Travis was a dedicated father to his three children, Sylas, Soryn, and Scarlett. He cherished every moment spent with them, whether gaming, listening to music, fishing, or enjoying scary movies together. His love for family was evident in everything he did.
Professionally, Travis worked as a manager at The Tavern in Valley Junction, where his warm personality and work ethic were appreciated by many. He was also an avid baseball fan, proudly supporting the Boston Red Sox throughout his life.
Travis shared a special bond with his beloved dachshund, Lexi, who brought him joy and companionship. He is survived by his children, Sylas, Soryn, and Scarlett, who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. Travis will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family.
A celebration of life will be held at Raccoon River Nature Lodge on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
