Catherine Kay F. George

Catherine F (Kay). George, a retired editor for both the Dept of Agriculture and Dept of State, died November 20, 2010 at her beloved home on Swan Pond, Dennisport. Ms. George was born in Washington D.C. to Catherine and Frank George. She was the sister of the late Frances George of Dennisport. Catherine was a graduate of the Univ. of Maine at Orono. After retiring she and her sister retired to Cape Cod. She traveled extensively, enjoyed many hours of volunteering at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, spent leisure time reading, attending movies and the theatre, dinning at fine restaurants, and being with her extended family. She leaves her cousin Helen Baird of Medfield and S. Harwich, James Redfield of Arlington VA and many other cousins throughout the country who will cherish their happy memories of her. For the past three years Catherine was lovingly attended by Debbie Bearse and Jennifer Eardley, as well as other devoted caregivers. Catherine will be interred at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Springs Md. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
