Eileen passed away at home in her lovely Victorian. Prior to settling in Harwich for 23 years, Eileen lived in Waltham, MA. Eileen had a long 40 year career as a Data Analyst and administrator for the Newton School System.

Eileen leaves behind her four stepsons and their families: Peter Meggison of Bath ME and his daughter Madison, Sean and Marie Meggison of Holy Springs, NC and their children Anastasia and Alex, Timothy and Monica Meggison of Westborough, MA and their children Maggie and Callie, Ryan and Aimee Weil-Meggison of Hopkinton, MA and their children Maya, Caleb, and Austin. Being “Grammy” to these 8 grandchildren was the highlight of her life. Eileen continued to have a friendship with her former spouse, Bernard Meggison.

Eileen is predeceased by her mother, Alice E. Shea, her father, Edmund J. Shea of Newton and Dennis, MA. She leaves behind 5 siblings and their families: Lynda Beiling of Scottsdale, AZ, Ed and Mary O’Sullivan of The Villages, FL, Susan Devaney of Westwood, MA, Kathy and Al Martin of Chelmsford, MA, Jim and Ru Shea of Grafton MA. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember her many Halloween surprises.

She attended Framingham State College, loved to read at her favorite Pleasant Road Beach, and couldn’t resist following a good storm.

Always quick with a witty remark and a smile which could light up your day. She loved saying to all her grandkids "I love you to pieces you meeces." She will be missed, we will miss you always.

Visitation will be held on Thursday August 18, 2022 from 2-3pm at Doane, Beal and Ames, 260 Main Street, West Harwich MA. There will be a reception held at IL Montebello Restaurant in Yarmouth Port following the visitation.
