

died Sunday March 10th, 2013. She passed away peacefully with family at her side.
Survivors include one son, W. Lawerance Chandler Jr. of Harwich. Two daughters: Pamela Marsh of Harwich Port, and Robin Hillary
Chandler of Eagan, Minnesota. A brother Allen Whitney of Waterford Connecticut, and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Crisci of Sarasota
Florida and Mrs. Carol Eaton of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.A loving Nana to her our grandsons Christopher and Whitney Trimble and Patrick and Sean
Sweeney. And a great-granddaughter, Amber Rose Trimble. Also numerous extended family and friend, that she loved dearly.
Harriet was born July 29th 1926 in Newton Ma. She lived in Waban Ma. for 12 years. Harriet graduated from Derby Academy in Hingham
in 1944. After her marriage in 1951 she and husband moved to Cape Cod. Where she called Harwich home for the past 62 years.
Harriet was a church secretary for 25 years: working at 1st Congregational Church in Harwich; 1st Baptist Church of Hyannis; West
Yarmouth Congregational Church; and most recently at Brewster Baptist Church where she worked for nine years when she retired in
January 1991. Also she was a part-time clerk for the Harwich Recreation Commission.
She was an active volunteer over the years for the American Red Cross Motor Corps, 4-H Club, Arthritis Foundation. Cranberry
Pointe Nursing Home in Harwich (Epoch of Harwich), playing the organ weekly for the Protestant worship services for ten years.
She was also an active member of American Baptist Women of Massachusetts and Church Women United of Cape Cod.
Harriet enjoyed collecting stamps, needle point craft work, loved playing the organ. But her favorite thing to do was spend
quality time with family and friends, especially watching her 4 grandsons grow into adults.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, Hospice of Cape Cod, and The Arthritis
Foundation.
