

Stephen is survived by his three children: Scott Seymour, Cregg Seymour, and his favorite daughter Lisa (Seymour) LeBlanc and their spouses Julianne (Faxon) Seymour and Michael LeBlanc. He was a cherished grandfather to his nine grandchildren: Stephen, Ryan, Cooper, Olivia, Charlotte, Parker, Riley, Alex, and Trevor, and a great-grandfather to Quinn. He is also survived by his three sisters: Nancy Morgan, Judy Fowler, and Kathie Stevens. Stephen was predeceased by his wife and partner for 53 years, and the love of his life, Sharon (Rose) Seymour, and his parents, Louise, and Dan Seymour.
Stephen had a distinguished career in broadcasting, with significant roles at Westinghouse Broadcasting (WBZ, WJZ, KDKA, and TVAR) and CEO of Abell Communications (WMAR and The Baltimore Sun), but his true passion came as an entrepreneur founding Sandab Communications and Rockland Investments. Throughout his career, he bought and sold more than 30 radio stations and owned and operated Cape Cod Broadcasting (WKPE, WQRC, WOCN, WFCC, and Capecod.com).
Stephen resided with his family in Baltimore, Maryland for many years, Cape Cod was always the place he considered home. Stephen's life was marked by a deep love for his family, the ocean, and the game of golf. He delighted in watching his children and grandchildren grow. From a young age, he was passionate about flying, having become a pilot at Chatham Airport during his youth summers. Born in New York City, Stephen grew up in White Plains and attended Hackley High School, Rutgers University, and Columbia Business School. He was a passionate football fan devoted to The Baltimore Ravens.
An avid water skier, fisherman, and boater, Stephen's love for dogs was well-known. His beloved canines included Rocky, Sin, Bear, Joss, Glory Days, and Tucket. Stephen's artistic talents were evident in his bird carvings and paintings, and he took great pleasure in tending to his roses and other flowering plants.
Stephen loved big family dinners and had a great appreciation for good food, with no meal being complete without corn, ice cream, and his special toast, “For those that are here and those who couldn’t make it.”
He loved his country but most of all he loved his family. He will be remembered for his insight, sense of humor, kindness, and generosity that made him special, not to mention his smile and laugh..
A private family service will be held in his honor at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Cape Cod Health Care Foundation – Cape Cod Hospital.
