Todd Romaine Raabe passed away on October 6, 2025 at home in Harwich MA, after his brave battle with liver cancer. He was 61 years old. He was born December 5, 1963, in Northridge CA, to Roderick and Gracia “Bunny” Raabe.
Todd’s upbringing included time in Short Hills, NJ and Tokyo, Japan, where he graduated from the American School in Japan. He pursued higher education at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, NH and graduated in 1986. His professional journey began in sales at Fram/Bendix/Allied Signal and later evolved when he joined Cole-Hersee Co in South Boston. There, he advanced as the Global Automotive and Marine Sales Manager, combining his work with his passion for boating. He created lasting connections with many in the industry. Todd’s commitment and knowledge led him to serve on the board of the National Marine Manufacturers Association.
In 2006, Todd married his cherished wife Krista, with whom he shared a bond that spanned many years. They settled in Duxbury, MA, where they shared their love for boating and the ocean. Their devotion to each other grew as they spent their leisure time at their Harwich home, eventually moving there in 2022 after retirement.
Todd had a few hobbies, enjoying anything related to cars, trucks, and home improvement. But, his heart truly belonged to boats. His love of boating, fishing, and the Cape started in childhood when he spent summers in Chatham, MA with his family. This childhood connection evolved into a lifelong passion for playing and working on boats, both of which he equally loved. From days exploring the water in the family dinghy to fishing adventures on larger boats, Todd truly loved being out on his Eastern 27 named the Krista Marie. His love for life on the water included fishing with his friends and family, as well as shared moments with his extended family, especially his treasured nieces and nephews, whether fishing, going to the outer beach, whale watching, or just cruising along. Most vacations involved the coast with trips to Maine, Canada, and Florida. His final marine journey was on Knot Tied Down, a trawler, where he and Krista spent a couple months living on the boat and traveling around Florida.
Notable for his outgoing personality and sense of humor, Todd’s generosity and willingness to help will be missed by his friends, family, and neighbors. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished forever.
Todd is preceded in death by his father Roderick and his brother Scott. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 20 years, Krista. He also leaves behind his mother Bunny of Sarasota FL, and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Lauren Raabe of Ponte Vedra FL, Lisa Raabe of Harwich MA, and Craig and Cyndi Raabe of Johnson VT, as well as his nieces and nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
Donations in memory of Todd can be made to the American Liver Foundation at liverfoundation.org. A private celebration of life will be held on Cape Cod at a future date.
