

Torres, Enio age 76, passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on December 4, 2015 after battling Cancer. He was born on January 14, 1939 in Morovis, Puerto Rico. He served in the US Army in the First Airborne Battle Group, 501st Infantry in Fort Campbell, Kentucky and was awarded as a 1st Class Gunner. He worked at the NYC Department of Sanitation until retiring after 25 years. He had a love of gardening a his beloved dog Max. Hi is survived by his wife of 45 years, Frances Torres, his son Enio Torres Jr., his daughter Melanie Torres Williams, his son-in-law Thomas Williams, his granddaughters Zoe and Sydney Williams, his brother Melquiade Torres, his sisters Rosa M. Hwang and Olga M. Torres and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Aniceto Jesus Torres, his mother Maria Elisa Rivera and his brother Jacobo Torres. Memorial services will be held from 12:00-4:00 pm on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Homes, 255 Higbie Lane, West Islip, NY 11795. Interment will be privately held in his beloved Vermont at a later date.
