

Mr. Nabors age 87 of West Palm Beach, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Benjamin was born on October 5, 1923 to the late Mr. Thomas P. Nabors and the late Hattie (nee Farmer) Nabors in Piedmont, Alabama. In the beginning of his career Mr. Nabors worked with the Seaboard Railroad and then began a new career of work with the City of West Palm Beach in 1957 and worked his way up to the Director of Public Works and finally retired in 1987 after 30 years of dedicated service to our community. He was a member of the VFW Post# 2007 in West Palm Beach, FL, and was a Naval Veteran serving during the WWII period. Benjamin was an avid Florida Gator’s Fan and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on.
Survivors include his loving & devoted wife of 58 years, Wilma Nabors, his loved children; Linda Pentz and Denise (Gary) Codding, adored grandchildren; Magen Schmiedel, Stacie Pentz, Crystal Melton, Misty Melton and Thomas Codding, precious great grandchildren; Katelynn Schmiedel, Makenzie Pentz, Paige Melton, and Katie Melton, his admired sister, Opal Nelson.
