passed away suddenly on September 16, 2018 from a heart condition at the age of 56. He was a long time resident of the Palm Beach area, having attended Graham-Eckes/Palm Beach Academy and graduated from Lynn University. He was predeceased by his father George Douglas Buckner and his mother Joy McIntosh. He is survived by his step mother, Carole Manning with whom he shared a special bond and his two step-sisters Cristina Suarez and Mia Patch.
Among George’s noteworthy contributions to the community was his unswerving commitment in support of the Palm Beach County Boys and Girls Club, which was unparalleled. In addition he was a long standing usher at Bethesda by the Sea.
George was loved by his family and friends for his ability to make everyone feel welcome and special. He kept friends for life, touching everyone with his kindness. He was a remarkable generous spirit and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him and called him a friend. To identify or quantify his extensive circle of friends would be a limitless task.
A Funeral Mervice will be held at St. Edward’s Catholic Church on Friday September 28, 2018 at 3:00 PM and a reception will follow. A private graveside burial will take place at a following date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Boys and Girls Club in Memory of George.
