

He was born on July 15, 1935 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Hepburn Burton and Loretta Duncan. He was called home on July 2, 2012. He leaves to cherish his wonderful memory to the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Carolyn K. Wold-Duncan. His four children, daughter, Darlene Ybarra and her husband, Roy of Lake Worth, FL, son, Hepburn Duncan, Jr. of Ocala, FL, daughter, Carolyn Flores and husband, Joe of Lake Worth, FL and son, Andrew W. Duncan and wife, Deborah of Blairsville, GA. Also leaving behind to cherish his memory his 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and many wonderful friends. Burt was a hard working man where he gave his time, love and dedication to us for many years from 1955 where he started off as a dishwasher at the Country Club of Florida. He then became a fireman from 1956-65. After that he became a security guard from 1969-79 in the Village of Golf, where he was promoted to Super Lieutenant and then retired from Security in May of 1979. He was also an E.M.T. from 1974-77. In the early 1980’s , he became in charge of the Village of Golf Water Plant where he worked for several years, officially retired in the beginning of 1980. In the early years of 1997 he joined the Scottish American Society for several years where he met several wonderful Scottish people and later retired from there to enjoy watching his family grow-up, get married, have children and their children have children. HEPBURN (BURT) DUNCAN will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Friends may visit and pay respects on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 6PM – 8PM at Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 6411 Parker Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33405, (561) 833-4061. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10AM, Friday, July 6, 2012 at the funeral home. Rites of Committal will be followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33405, (561) 582-4131.
