Dearest Janie,
Getting to know you is a privilege. You're a rare gem, gracious, and selfless; I respect you for that. Your confidence shows through your humility. I'm always impressed with the way you conduct yourself. You're classy, yet simple. You don't complain, instead you always have an optimistic view. You always have a funny story, even during chaos like the hurricane. I can still hear your laughter and see you giggling. You're the source of strength to all of us. My daughter said to me that God picks the precious ones first, like people pick their favorite flowers.

Losing a family member is never Pleasant. I have been there several times and it doesn't get any easier. It has been many years since I last seen Jana but we met back in the 80’s when I worked at St. Mary’s Hospital from August of 1984 - Nov of 1995.  She was always a precious and compassionate Woman who loves God and people. We have had times in which we have prayed together right there at the Hospital. What can I say about my sweet Janie???? There are so many wonderful memories of the time we spent together I can’t pinpoint just one. We may have met at work but Janie was much  more than a coworker, she was one of my dearest friends. I am truly blessed to have shared a friendship with such a beautiful soul. I will treasure every precious memory of our time together.  Thank you my sister for all your kindness, support and love throughout the years. You were an angel here on earth and now you have your wings in heaven.  Shine bright my sister. Until we meet again💜💜💜💜

My first memory of Janie Mae, as I always called her, was 49  years ago  in the fall of 1971, at Palm Beach Gardens Elementary School.  I was a first time brand new young teacher and she was  My sweet smiling 8 year old.   Along with her cute bubbly sisters Carolyn and Johnnie Mae.  Along a few years later was her little sister Linda.    Little did I know  at that time that Janie and I would have a very close bond for these next 49 years.   My best memory is of course her smile.  But I have to say in all my teaching career I have never met such a consistently hard working, loving, caring,  generous  person.   And in spite  of all she has had to endure physically over the past five years she still kept working, fighting, giving , caring , and loving.  Over the years she has become a high level Role  model to her brothers and sisters, her husband, her children and her community!    
During these years  we would text or call each other often.    She was always on my mind and heart.   I am beside myself with saddest to loose our physical connection, but  from now on Janie Mae, we will keep a very close spiritual bond.   
To her family, that I know some of you know me. I send my love and prayers to each of you.  And one thing to please remember.  Please keep Janie Mae’s legacy alive.  Keep on doing what you know she would do. She has spent her entire lifetime Bonding with all of her family and the highest honor to her memory would be to keep her legacy alive

I remember first working with Janie many years ago in St. Mary’s ICU, when she was an ICU Tech. Later,  I worked with her when she was an RN in Case Management. Such a wonderful, kind and sweet person and excellent at her job.  Always smiling. She is much loved and I know will be so missed. Many prayers to her family, I’m so sorry for your loss. 

Her smile would just brighten up your day. One of the sweetest lady you'll ever had the pleasure of meeting.

I was so honored and humbled when Janie asked me to be the Godmother of not one, but both of her now grown babies.  Why me,,, I have no children of my own, I lived in NYC, but her heart was so large that she entrusted me with them.

I will definitely miss her voice, lol, her fast cooking 🤣🤣🤣 along with her genuine smile and beautiful spirit... and too much more to mention 🥰🥰🥰🥰🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

I only had the pleasure to work with Jana for a very short time, but i will always remember her smile.  I remember one day when I was frustrated with work and was fussing about it and Jana said, "Honey, don't let this place get to you, keep your joy! It's just a job, we gonna  make ourselves laugh while doing it, go home and love on our families cause that's what's important!"  I have never forgotten that and that's just who she was... RIP Jana.

Jana ensured that I always had creamer for my coffee at work even when she was offsite., and not at the job. She is one of the most caring and kind person that anyone could ever come across.
A sweet Angel has gone to be with her maker. Gone but not forgotten  .
Jana and I are the only people I know who watch the drama on OWN, The have and the Have Nots. I am surely gonna miss your face and voice when something exciting happens and we get animated in our discussion of what is coming next.

Jana, "Janie"  was always so cheerful, kind, courteous, always eager to assist and dependable. She blessed those who received her care with the utmost compassion. Janie was never too busy to stop and say hello and share  a kind word or two. No matter what  her heartache, pain, or suffering may have been,  Janie would never let it show.

I will miss my dear colleague, and friend. I will miss seeing her beautiful smile and the sound of  her sweet voice. She has forever impacted my life for which I am grateful. I feel blessed to have known her and have her in my life.  May she rest in eternal peace surrounded by gods heavenly grace, and may her family find peace knowing she was so deeply loved and respected. 


Mom you are my best friend and you will remain such. Thanks for always pushing me to next level in life. As I am sitting at our spot by the water I know you are still with me and guiding me. I will keep your legacy going and never stop being the best I can be.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Janie. 
She was one of the kindest, most truly genuine people I ever had the pleasure of working with. Her strength was one of her many qualities. She will be missed everyday. I am so sorry for your loss.
