Joseph Harvey Kent

Joseph H. Kent, Sr., 86, of Roberta, GA, formerly of Royal Palm Beach, passed away on December 2, 2013. He was born and raised in Riverside, NJ and a graduate of Riverside High School. Joseph joined the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He moved to this area in 1969 and was employed at Pratt & Whitney until his retirement in 1991. Joseph was preceded in death by two children, Susan and David. He leaves his wife of 63 years Elizabeth, his children, Joseph H. Kent, Jr., Sharon Owens, Kevin and his wife, Shanna Kent. He also leaves to cherish his memory eight grandchildren, Jennifer Hill, Olivia Owens, Joseph Kent III, Elise Kent, John T. Kent, Ethan Kent, Jae Lynn Kent, Travis Kent and eight great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Ashley, Madison, Madeline, Kimberly, Aiden, Eric, and Andrew. His family will receive friends on Sunday, at the funeral home between 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM when his life will be celebrated at 1:30 PM. Joseph will be laid to rest immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL.
