I learned today Michelle passed.  I remember Michelle when we were all young.  She had a gentle and kind spirit then and throughout the years when our path crossed.  I’m so very sorry her family lost her.

Such a beautiful soul.  Miss you Michelle.

I remembered Michelle when we all went to this cabaret, it was me, Wallace & Carol. We all was on the floor dancing,  and when Carol, Wallace , Mick , Francis &Robin came to your house in Md, when Butch and I was dancing when I fell on the floor, it was sooo funny. Also in your other house when you had this chef, fixing all this good food and we were  sitting  at the counter were the chef was cooking and Francis fell on on to the floor after a few drinks!!! We all had fun and wonderful memories being with you and Michelle.  Our hearts will "ALWAYS" be with you Quinn,Blake & Peyton second Michelle.

I recently was made aware of Michelle's passing; I pray for continued peace and strength for her family and friends.  She was a beautiful human being.  A great Ivy beyond the wall.. she will be missed.

Michelle was the epitome of love in action.  A tender soul that never failed to leave a lasting impression on all those she came into contact with, including myself.  I had the opportunity to know her for a few seasons, and I wished it could have been more, for Michelle was special. Her gentleness was only surpassed by her love for her children, extended family and humanity in general.

 In the quiet moments of our lives, away from the hustle and bustle of a busy world, sweet memories of Michelle will remind us all that love is always supreme. And though she is gone from us in the physical form, the spirit with which she lived her life will be with us forever. 

Rest well, sweet angel, your work on earth is done. May God's heavenly choir welcome you with open arms!

I was saddened to hear of this sudden death.  We received your beautiful Christmas family photo card one day after the news.  Even though we only met via facetime, she touched my heart and I considered her a friend.  My prayers go out to you, Peyton, and your brothers.  I pray for comfort and healing only  God can provide. When you think about your life...who stands out?  

Michelle was one of those people in my life.  Friends are the family you get to choose for yourself and we were friends and family for almost 30 years.  

Michelle understood that relationships are important and she had wonderful relationships.  Her number one mission in life was to be a great mother to Quinn, Blake and Peyton...and she succeeded.    

I will never forget the sound of her voice, her smile and contagious laugh and the way she dances!

I never told her this but I ALWAYS think about her when I see red wine (we all know why), hear 50 Cent's song "It's Your Birthday" (from one of her birthday weekend trips) and every single time I make baked macaroni and cheese (she loved it...but I think she was more surprised it came out so good).

Looking through photos the other night I noticed she was often seated at the head of the table...which is very fitting for for Michelle.  I imagine her sitting at the head of a table once again -- this time with her wings, pearls and fancy shoes getting everything organized up there in heaven.

Quinn, Blake, and Peyton, My heart aches and I’ve had no words.  Please know that you’re in our thoughts and Prayers daily.  I wish I could Pray your pain away and give you words of comfort that will heal your soul, but there aren’t enough words and Prayers that can do that.  But, what I do know from my own experience with losing my Father just three short months ago is that, GOD IS GOOD and he is the only one that can give you the strength, comfort, and peace that will carry you through these most difficult days.  Continue to lean on him and he’ll surely light your path.   

Your Mother was one of a kind for sure and she loved you more than life itself that I know for sure!!  She was a TRUE Friend, and though we didn’t talk often, she NEVER missed my Birthday, or any special moment I had that she knew about.  She would almost always reach out with a short text like when she asked for our new address just a couple weeks ago!
“Your Address Please!”  That was Michelle!  Ha!
(I just received your beautiful Christmas card a few days ago.) Or, her sweet comforting words she sent me when my Father passed away.  

Yes indeed Michelle was so very thoughtful, sweet, and compassionately genuine.  I could go on and on about her kindness and thoughtfulness.  Cherish the memories and all the special moments you all had together because her sweet Spirit will live with you all forever..............
I’ll continue to Pray that God will bring you comfort, strength, and peace as you continue to live your lives exactly the way she would have wanted for you because she was so very proud of the young adults each one of you have become!

Our hearts are completely broken and sad after hearing about the passing of our beautiful and dear friend Michelle. We share many memories of the times we spent together while living in Ellicott, Maryland.  Michelle was a beautiful bright light every time I saw her, always gorgeous and smiling with that big grin on her face. Michelle loved and cherished her family enormously!  God has chosen a beautiful, kind, and loving angel to heaven, and that is Michelle. Our many condolences to the Hendricks family and remember to keep the Faith.  We love you guys!

It is still so, so, sooooo surreal.  For the better part of thirty years, Michelle, you have been part of our family and crew.  So many moments, so many good times.  Not to mention the several anxious moments.

Your dog almost died of smoke inhalation when you visited us in NJ (Nachi left the bottles boiling on the stove while we went out to eat).  When Theo was a baby, he spilled red juice on your white carpet in your new home in Greenbelt.  When Chase was a baby, he broke your glass table in the foyer of your new home in PA.  My personal favorite, when you and Butch first moved in together, I got the fellas together after quite a few cocktails. We gathered street level outside your second story front window sometime after midnight and sang Kappa songs most loudly in attempt to get Butch’s attention.  What never crossed my mind was that I might want to think twice before waking you up.  Like I said, “Family”.

Nachi and I have always admired your meticulous planning.  We will never forget and will always cherish the baby shower you and Colleen gave Nachi at your home in Ellicott City.  We cherish as much the impromptu moments, like the Mother’s Day Brunch we spent with you, Butch and Jackie in the courtyard behind your D.C. home sipping champagne with strawberries and laughing all that beautiful day.

Like I said, “Family”.  We always respected you Michelle.  The way you raised your Beautiful Kids.  The way you took care of your business.  The way you looked after your brother and your parents.  The way you always kept us current with Quinn, Blake, and Peyton.  

We miss the cookouts on the deck, the camping, the holiday gatherings, the trips, the overall time spent…but, most important, we will never forget and will always Miss You.

Butch, I am so sorry for the loss of your wife.  I only met Michelle once or twice, but she left a lasting impression.  She was a charming and gorgeous person who left some beautiful children.  I wish you and your children the best of a Godly future, and that God has taken you through a challenging situation that He will not see you through.

My sincere condolences goes out to Quinn, Blake and Peyton.  Your mother was an amazing and wonderful human.  She put together a group of young black professionals  in Toledo Ohio.  We were a crew of 12-15 all young, eager and ready to conquer the world.  We use to gather at each other homes, and cook dinner and have small gatherings and talk about our future.  She was the glue to our crew.

However, I left Toledo for Grad School and we loss contact (the picture is her planning my going away party).  However, with the invention of Facebook we reconnected when she left Dallas and moved back to Florida.  She spoke about everyone of you and your successes.  I constantly asked her, are Blake and Peyton going to attend Howard?  She knew I wanted you to attend an HBCU, but you guys decided to stay in Florida and be with her.  God knew to keep you close so she could continue to raise you and you would have the ability to spend time with her.  Peyton, she loved cheering you on, Quinn she spoke about how well you were doing in your professional career, and Blake she loved her baby boy and talked about you turning into a fine young man.   

To hear this news is devastaing however, we know that God has her now.  You are fine young adults and you have an angel truly looking down on you,  I miss my friend, she sent out her Holiday cards and I received it the day after she passed.  The word that stuck out to me the most was the word PEACE on the card.  She’s at peace now, and take comfort that she is resting with the lord.

(Lenora Alexander-Nickerson)  She reached out to me in Los Angeles, California with a very heavy heart upon her passing. I pray God keeps your family close through these difficult time. This is extremely hard for me to write, my heart is so heavy.  I remember just like it was yesterday when we were pregnant together twice! You already had Quinn, and you were expecting Blake while I was carrying John John. The next year we were having Peyton and Sydney together.  We would be at each other’s houses practically everyday. You have always been supportive, a good listener, and a big sister I always wanted. When you moved away from Maryland, we always would catch up on the phone as if you never left. I will miss being able to hear your voice, but I will cherish every moment we had together. I want you to be at peace, and know that I will forever be there for Peyton, Blake and Quinn. Michelle brought so much love and joy to all who know and love her. Such a classy lady with a smile that never goes unnoticed. Please accept our sincerest condolences as we remember the beautiful spirit Michelle embodied.  I will remember gathering around the kitchen island at my sister-in-law’s house and talking about everything including the weather. The kids would be in the basement, only showing their faces to get a snack or sip of water.  Michelle’s smile was contagious and warmed up the room.

I’m sending my heartfelt condolences to Michelle’s kids, mother, brother and her extended family. Michele and my wife Patricia were like sisters. I had the opportunity to experience Michelle’s style, grace and beauty inside out. Heaven has added another angel to look over us. Rest In Peace Michelle we love you and you will be missed dearly.

My fondest memory is when about 10 of us would drop our kids off at Love of Learning Montessori School. Then spend an hour or more in the parking lot just having a great time laughing and uplifting one another,  because we were all new mothers with babies. I just smile whenever I think about those days. 
You will be missed Michelle but you are now one of our Angels !!   
To your beautiful children Peyton, Blake & Quinn you will forever be in our prayers.
