We celebrate and honor a beautiful life, a life well lived by Nidia Pereira. Nidia was born on August 10, 1924 in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. She was the eldest sister to five brothers and three sisters. She migrated to the United States with her husband, Raphael Pereira, over 60 years ago. She was very artistic and created beautiful jewelry for Gay Boyer. She had an enormous capacity to give love, care and happiness to everyone she touched. She was the rock of our pride, the beauty of our hearts and the reason for our togetherness. We are eternally grateful that she passed in peace surrounded by those she loved on August 1, 2012. The Almighty Father has called her home to dance and sing with those that have gone before her. May we draw comfort from her strong belief in God and the everafter. May her grace and eternal love support us through this difficult passing. Nidia Pereira is survived by her 6 children, 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren that showered with enormous love and respect throughout her life.Family and friends may pay their repects on August 5, 2012 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Home, a Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 pm on August 5, 2012 and the burial will follow directly after at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
