My sister, Olga: 
We met as adults but fess though we’ve known each other for a lifetime. We had a wonderful time at the family reunion in Florida and I’m so glad we have those memories and our many, many phone conversations through the years. I love you and will miss you, Sis… your gentle spirit… our shared laughter….til we meet again.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Mrs. Olga Hazel. I meet Mrs. Olga when I first started working for Publix in Palm Beach. Mrs Olga was such a kind lady. She will definitely be missed by many.

We all cope with the loss of a loved one the best we know how. I am in deep despair that you have departed this life, not so much from your physical challenges, but from a broken heart and disappointment. 

During my frequent visits to West Palm Beach we spoke of the importance of living one’s life to the fullest. Sitting at the end of your bed with a bottle of wine, while you binge watch your favorite daytime soaps were truly the highlight of my trip.

Our spirited conversations about televised naughty adult issues and your laughter, taking comfort in just knowing that someone who genuinely cared was near you. While it was no easy task being your favorite nephew, it is a title that I would give anything to wear like a badge of honor once again. Your genuine concern, of checking in with other family members questioning my whereabouts, when not hearing from me in a few days, was always moving. 

I find that in this life, you rarely encounter people that genuinely care about our wellbeing. You and I cared for each other; you were truly the only family member who knew the real me, and loved and appreciated me for who I am. 

During every visit pulling out the old family albums, sometimes spending a whole day viewing every photo, bringing comfort to both of us. Photos of family members still here and the departed, cousins aunts and uncles on family vacation. I will always associate you and West Palm Beach with a happy childhood, surrounded by cousins who have become more like brothers and sisters, and aunts and uncles like mothers and fathers.     

I am privileged to know you, your fears and regrets, your confiding in me is something that I will cherish, and take beyond the grave.

Olga Hazel. I love you very much and always will. You can look forward to 20 peach rose’s gracing your resting place, every year on your birthday. 

Rest in peace my butterfly queen, and rest assured that your will has been done!                       


My deepest condolences to the family.  Ms. Olga was a beautiful person in and out. I had the distinct  privilage  of being one of her coworkers   for years.  Rest on my dear friend. You will Always remain in hearts and memories.
