

Born on April 21, 1928, in Manhattan, New York, Rebecca was the beloved daughter of Catherine Cummins and William Phillips. She lived a long, vibrant life defined by love, devotion, and a deep commitment to her family.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Edward J. Murphy, and her beloved daughter, Patricia Mohrman. She and her husband loved ballroom dancing , a passion that brought them close together and created many cherished memories. She also had a lifelong love of musicals, which brought her great happiness.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: son Michael Murphy and his wife Lesley Murphy; and daughter Mary Credidio and her husband Ernest Credidio. Rebecca was a proud and devoted grandmother to Michael Credidio, Charlotte Murphy, Cynthia Mohrman, Jennifer Royse, Brian Mohrman, and Christina Mohrman, and a great-grandmother to Michael E.J. Credidio, Emiliegh Mohrman, Brian Mohrman III, Michael Mohrman, Owen Royse, Luna Rey Fernandez, and 3 other great grandchildren . Affectionately known as “Nanny,” she held a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish her love, warmth, and guidance. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment with them.
A visitation will be held on March 30, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, both at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation, and Event Center, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405.
Rebecca will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the lives of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
