Ruth Windle

Ruth Windle, age 98 of Bethpage, TN (formerly West Palm Beach, FL) passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023. Visitation will be Thursday October 12 from 4-7 pm at Quattlebaum Funeral Home 6411 Parker Ave. W. Palm Beach. Graveside service will be on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery at 10:00 am.

Ruth was born December 5, 1924 in Logansport, IN to the late Harry Bowen and Carrie Wilson Bowen. In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by husband Melvin Windle, brothers, Harry Bowen and Richard Bowen and sisters, Audrey Proud, Nora Caldwell, and Mary Smith. She is survived by daughter Karen Thomas (Steve) of Bethpage; grandchildren, Tamme Sterling Indiana, Sandi Thomas (Daniel Kirby) TN, and Rory Thomas (Laura) Alabama; great grandchildren Kayla Grimes AK, Aaron Duerksen TX, Alexis Vogan TN, Wyatt Golliher IN, Bailey Golliher IN, Mike Charriez AL and JozaLynn Velez AL; and great-great grandchildren Riley and MacKenzie Grimes AK, and Ryker VoganTN.

Ruth loved her church Family Church and served in any capacity needed. She loved Women on Missions, being a greeter at the door to make all feel welcome. She loved helping her neighbors and visiting them. If you needed a ride she would be there to pick you up. She also delivered Meals on Wheels. She also volunteered with the Palm Beach County Elections.
