My dear sister Valerie, you were a blessing to our family, but most of all to my brother. You were a truly compassionate, loving and kind person, especially to my sister Shirley, God rest her soul, as she passed three years ago. Sis, you have turned my brother around to eating healthy and you're were an awesome wife, mother and sister. You touched so many lives around you with your big heart and beautiful smile. You will be truly missed by me and so many others. I know you were my sister-in-law, but to me you were my sister, a sibling added to our family. I know you were so grounded in your faith and look to God for all your answers. You and my brother were a perfect match. I remember how persistant you were to capture my brother's heart. Twenty Three wonderful years of such love for each other. Tears are welling up as I sit here typing about you, beautiful sister. You walked the walk, and now you have earned your beautiful crown. I know my brother will miss you dearly, but to him this isn't goodbye, but is looking forward to meeting you again in paradise. I love and will miss your wonderful smile, and the way you and my brother bonded with laughter, love, and the happiness you have brought to our family, my dear sister. you will be dearly missed. Valerie, you and I were inseparable growing up in Centralia, IL. You were like a sister to me. At any given time I would make my way to the Owens' residence or you would be at mine. We truly loved each other. Even though we were thousand plus miles apart, I often thought of you. I was so blessed that your beloved sister Joyce (Joycey) called me Thanksgiving and I was able to speak with you and shared how powerful our God is. We don't know when it's time to leave this Earth but I know I will see you again my dear friend, I love you 🌹,Ida

Even though I did not know Valerie all that well I know she was a good Christian.  Faithful till the end.
My prayers are with Sandy, Damian and the Cooper family.

She  will be missed.
