Martha E. Powell

She was born July 27th, 1923, in Vincennes, Indiana a daughter of Hugh William and Adda Capitola (English) Daugherity. She was a talented Seamstress who retired from Johnnye Manufacturing. Her lifetime specialty was making tailor made clothing. She also did mapping service for the Army and Navy during WWII. She was a Charter Member of the Quilt Guild and was a gifted artist.

Survivors include 3 daughter, Sharon (Darrell) Troyer; Theresa (Steve) Tarpley and Alicia (Tim) Yates all of West Salem, Illinois and 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Rogers Lee Powell; one sister and three brothers.

Services will be held at 12PM Wednesday October 16th, 2013 at Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem, Illinois. Burial will follow at the Moravian Cemetery in West Salem, Illinois. Friends may call from 10 AM Wednesday till service time. Ingram Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
