It is with broken hearts that we announce the
loss of our Angus. Born in Vancouver on June
23, 1946, Angus passed away suddenly but
peacefully at home on October 3, 2018. He
was predeceased by his Mother Mary, Father
Reginald, Stepdad Willy John and brother
Brian. He is survived by his sister Barbara
(Joan), brother Chris, nephew and nieces
Tim, Kimberly and Charlene, his “family”
George and Joanie and many loving cousins
and friends too numerous to name. Angus
had a lifelong career in Highland Dancing
both as a World Champion Highland Dancer,
and a world class teacher to hundreds of
students, many of whom became champions
under his tutelage. More recently, he
developed a love for golf and worked for the
last 4 years at Golftown in North Vancouver
where he made many new friendships. To
know Angus is to love him. He loved life and
laughter and always enjoyed a good party. His
sense of humour was infectious and his
warmth and generosity of spirit touched all
who knew him. He will be forever missed. A
celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. on
Sunday October 14 at the Royal Vancouver
Yacht Club at 3811 Point Grey Rd. in
Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations to the
BC Heart and Stroke Foundation would be
appreciated.
May the sun be shining on you forever Gussie!
