Donna, Geoff, Kit and families, I am so shocked and saddened at the news of Carey's passing. I've been struggling to find the right words but I realize there are none. Carey was a great friend. He would give everything and then some, never asking for anything in return. He had an amazing ability to make you laugh, lift you up from the lowest of lows. I am so fortunate to have had him in my life for so many years, and although I deeply regret the amount of time and space I allowed to grow between us, I will forever cherish the memories of all the fun times we had together. Carey truly was one of a kind. 
Rest in peace old friend, you will be dearly missed.

Dear Ward family ... I am so very sorry for you with your loss of Carey.   Carey was very good to me when I worked at Edgemont Moving, providing crates for my clients expertly built and always on time.  In my new job, I always knew if a need came up for Careys services, I could count on him.  Im so very saddened he was taken so soon from you ... from us.  My thoughts are with you.

you are at Carey's sudden death. we know you are all devastated  and are in
pain and grief over your terrible loss.Words at a time such as this always seem
to be inadequate compared to the terrible ache in your heart. It is going to
take some time before the terrible ache in your hearts will be replaced by
all the happy and loving memories of Carey's life with you. Until then keep
each other close and take comfort from your love ones.

My prayers go out to the extended Ward family at this most difficult time. I met the Ward family over 30 years ago in North Vancouver and I watched the small Ward family business grow since. As it grew,,, so did Carey. After Crawford's passing, Sheila and Carey carried on and overtime became family to me. When Sheila passed, I saw Carey grow as a confident and hard-working businessman. For all those years of seeing him 3-4 times a week, I am shocked and sad to know he will no longer be in our physical presence. He was a great business associate but,  most important of all..... a dedicated husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to so many. Carey you will be missed forever!
