Chris Dodds passed away after a short period of
illness.
Chris was born in Preston-on-Tees, England,
attended university in London, and then completed
his Master of Science at the University of Alberta in
1966. Chris worked for the Geological Survey of
Canada for 25 years, surveying many places on the
west coast and Yukon, walking many, many miles in
remote mountainous terrain.
Chris was a talkative and interesting friend. He loved
being in the Yukon and shared many memories of
the people and places he met. He enjoyed going to
hear live music, working in his beautiful garden, and
discussing “AU". Chris had a soft spot for animals; he
loved his cats, many of which lived to be quite old,
he enjoyed watching the birds and animals that
shared his yard, and looked forward to seeing them
every day.
Chris is survived by his sister, Catherine (Marcus),
and many friends who miss him and his stories.

who was a comfort and friend to the end.
