The Duchess of Westerleigh' has left us at 101 years old and will be very missed by her children: Michael, Belinda, Philippa, Vivienne and Justin, and their spouses, and also by her 12 Grandchildren,17 Great, Grandchildren and 2 Great, Great, Grandchildren.
Born in Ottawa in 1924, on Saint Patrick's Day, she went to school at North Foreland Lodge in Kent, England. She served as a WREN in WWII and was pre-deceased by her husband, John 'Pip' Roach in 1991.
They travelled extensively and lived in Cornwall prior to The West Indies, before moving back to Devon, England. They had many adventures together - Florida was her favourite in the winters. All through her life she was a keen competitive athlete, golf being a favourite where she made many friends at Gleneagles Golf Club - and a Canucks fan to the end.
Every St Patrick's Day, mum, we will raise a glass to you!
