Evelyn Jean Ouellette

Jean Baby passed away September 1st, 2025

She was born in Saskatoon, May 3rd, 1935 and moved to Burnaby as a young child.

She graduated from Burnaby South and sang with the “Footsteps” producing a record album

She worked at Dominion Construction where she met our dad, Al. They had 4 children,

Sherry (Bob Klimek), Vicki (Steve Merrill), Lori (Robertson) and Mark (Alison Ouellette).

Along with working at Dominion Construction, Momsy

owned her own business - “Sesame Place” in Edgemont Village and worked for a long time at Eatons in Men’s Wear and their Christmas Angel Shop. Her smile and laughter made her a beloved figure with her male customers.

She loved life, her family immensely, her white convertible Mercedes, Maui, was a pastry queen, and Harvey Wallbangers

She was a proud mother who never hesitated to tell complete strangers that she had 4 children in 5 years – a testament to her lifelong strength and energy. Her legacy continues in her 10 grandchildren, Kyle, Lee, Wade, Grant, Marly, Alexis, Kelly, Reid, Scott and Ross and 3 great grandchildren, Mayvn, Denver and Emily and one more soon.

We will miss her sayings – “this is just a thought…But” and “It’s not a command performance”, which of course, if you knew her, was non-negotiable?!

Her sparkle, love of life and laughter will live on forever in our hearts!!
