Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Henry Chung Yang Tsang passed away peacefully at home on May 11, 2025 at the age of 87 years. Dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Grace, of 61 years, their children, Clara (Dickson), Vickie (Dave) and Darren (Serene), and his beloved grandchildren, Sabrina, Alissa, Maddy, Emerson, Carter, Sebastian and Ryan, as well as his sisters, brothers and their spouses, and many nieces and nephews.
Henry was born in Guangzhou, China, the second of nine children. After his schooling in Hong Kong, Australia and USA, he returned to Hong Kong where he married Grace. Together, they moved to West Vancouver in 1968 where they raised their family and made many life-long friends.
Henry loved cars and driving them. We went on many long family road trips with our trusty BCAA TripTik, having picnics, exploring whatever caught our interest and visiting friends and family along the way. Henry’s enthusiasm for golf, tennis and skiing led to many memorable golf trips with friends and inspired his grandchildren to pursue skiing with a passion that will last a lifetime.
Henry’s greatest joy was his grandchildren and spending time with them. Gung Gung/Yeh Yeh was always available for an adventure or playdate at any time, he never said no, and always had the most awesome after-school snacks.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Hollyburn Funeral Home, 1807 Marine Drive, West Vancouver at 11:30 am. Visitation at 10:30 am. Reception follows at Capilano Golf and Country Club, 420 Southborough Drive, West Vancouver.
In lieu of flowers, we invite family and friends to make a donation in memory of Henry Tsang to Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, or to a charity of your choice.
