Ken passed away peacefully February 5th, 2014 at Capilano Care Centre in West Vancouver, BC. Ken was born on October 1st, 1924 in West Derby, England. During the Second World War he trained in Canada for the Royal Air Force. Predeceased by his wife Verna Emily (nee Best) in 1988 after 39 years of blissful marriage. Survived by his four sons; Dennis (Donna), Trevor, Mark and Kevin, grand children; Kristy, George, Griffin and Jeffrey, great grand children; Trinidy, Aubree, Emily, Callie and Joey. Ken was a civil engineer by profession and he also had many interests including: stamp collecting, Masonic Lodge, gardening, music, travel, bird watching, and all things nature. A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held on Wednesday, February 19th, 2014, 1:00 p.m. at Hollyburn Funeral Home, 1807 Marine Drive, West Vancouver, BC. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Society, or a charity of your choice.
