I was deeply saddened to learn of Mr. Wilsons’ passing.

LORNE WAS A ONE OF A KIND MAN.WE SAW HIM ONA REGULAR BASIS WHEN WE WENT ON W/E  TO OUR COTTAGE ON BOWYER ISLAND. HE WAS A VERY NICE GUY AND LOTS OF FUN.  TALLEYHO.  OUR BEST TO JUDY.

Dan & I, like so many others, still find the loss of Lorne difficult to except. Our lives have all been affected by his passing and (for us), the words to express our sympathy - will never be enough.

Dear Anne, Christy, Kelly and Kyle, 
My heart is heavy but it is with you as you work through the loss of your dear husband and father. It was amazing to see at the service yesterday just how many people Lorne touched and who in turn cared about him. It was a great pleasure for me to know Lorne and your family years ago at Bowyer Island and again more recently with your beautiful dogs. Lorne's passing is terribly sad but I take comfort in reflecting upon the positive impact Lorne had on so many others during his rich life.

Dear Anne: I was wishing to say hello to you today and offer my condolences but because there were so many folks at the service today I felt you already had a very full plate. I'm very sad about Lorne's premature passing. I enjoyed some wonderful times with LW which I will always cherish. We shared many laughs and some great times together especially fishing and also when visiting him in Roberts Creek and helping him tidy up a little before his precious wife returned after the "boys steak BBQ"! I will always hold Lorne in high regard and offer my sincere condolences to you and his children on your loss. I really hope we will have an opportunity in the future for a visit. Dear Wilson Family and Anne,
I was sad to hear over the holidays about the loss of your dad, grandfather and husband.  I am sure that no words will be able to fill the void that his departure has left in your lives.  I know that after losing my father almost ten years ago there is not one day that goes by that I do not think of him.  It seems so unfair that they could not have stayed around for longer to watch their grandchildren and children grow up.  It seems like no matter what there is just never enough time.  I remember your dad taking such good care of himself. I remember him running before running even seemed like a thing that people did. He seemed so into health and so aware of taking care of himself well before doing so was mainstream.  I remember how respected he was in his work. My dad used to always talk about just how smart and successful Lorne was. I also remember his work ethic as a child that seemed to be a cut above most others (and we were surrounded by hard working and successful parents). Just wanted to say that I am thinking of you guys during this difficult time.  I know that there are no right words to say.

We were so sad to hear of Lorne's passing.  Lorne and I went back to UBC days in the 60's and shared many memorable times.  Our friendship remained strong through all these years. No matter how much time passed it was easy, with Lorne, start right back where we left off.  Our condolences to Ann, the kids and their families.

He was simply the best friend a person could ever hope to have. The world was a kinder,  gentler place with Lorne in it. We miss him terribly.

Lorne was special to us as well as to many others.  We had many good times with Lorne and Anne and he will always be in our hearts.

I met Lorne a lifetime ago 1970 in London with LL. He was a driving force with a smile and laugh to match ....always fun to be around .
