Maria Meola

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Maria Meola (nee De Cotiis) on Sunday April 10th, 2016. She was born in Panni (FG), Italy on March 11th, 1935. Maria was a loving wife predeceased by her husband Giuseppe Meola. She was a dedicated and remarkable mother who was survived by her 10 children and their spouses and children; Antonietta & Mario Laudisio, children Giuseppe, Gianni (& Kyla), Vincenza (husband Peter, son Apollo), Sergio (wife Joelle); Nicolina & Don Cliburn, children Lisa (husband Shawn & sons Jack and Seth), Donald (wife Heather, children Matteo, Annelise, Caitlyn), Katie (husband Tom, children Juliana, Luke, Isabella); Teresa Meola; Carla & James Aydon, children Angela (husband Choyal), Jennifer, Joe; Carlo Meola & Archie Chonn; Lilliana & Rick Grant, children Dexter, Natalie, Katrina; Donato Meola & partner Diane, children Joe, Lucas; Apriano & Kathy Meola, children Maria, Giuseppe; Gina Meola, children Ryan, Max; and Marisa Meola & partner Allan, children Devlin, Austin.

Maria's life was full of love and laughter which she also shared with her siblings Innocenzo De Cotiis, Mike De Cotiis, Velia De Cotiis, and her sister in-law Concetta De Cotiis, and their children - her nephews and nieces, as well as relatives in Italy and Toronto. She was full of life and made an impact on everyone she met. Maria was a charismatic and loving, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who has touched the hearts of all those fortunate to have known her. Maria was born on March 11th, 1935 and lived a long and happy life that was full of memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Arrangements have been made to celebrate Maria's life: Prayers on Tuesday April 12th from 6:30pm-8pm at Hollyburn Funeral Home, Funeral Service on Wednesday April 13th at 1:00pm at St. Edmund's Parish in North Vancouver. Interment to follow at 3:00pm at Ocean View Mausoleum.
