

Dr. Martha Grymaloski (Maxwell), born in Raymore, Saskatchewan, October 3, 1933, died Friday, April 29th in Vancouver, British Columbia after a long battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband Charles and her sons Maxwell (née Stephen) and James.
Dr. Grymaloski was the daughter of Frank and Sophie Grymaloski, sister to Lucy, Julia, Eva, and Agnes and Louis, now deceased. Dr. Grymaloski graduated as Doctor of Medicine from the University of Saskatchewan in 1959. She specialized in radiology and took her residency at Montréal General Hospital. In 1965 she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She was a Clinical Professor Emerita in Radiology at the University of British Columbia, and worked at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver for 38 years. Martha was devoted to her work and family. She was highly respected and admired by her colleagues, possessed enormous integrity, and was an example of courage and dignity. She will be deeply missed.
An informal memorial will be held on Thursday, May 5th, 2011, at Gleneagles Golf Club, in West Vancouver, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.
