She was predeceased by her loving husband, Barry Parsons, her father and mother, Ray and Grace McCarthy, and her brother, Calvin McCarthy. Mary was a wonderful, beautiful mother to the Ven. Cannon Christopher Parsons (Anke Rohleder), Dr. Matthew Parsons (Mary), and Shannon Ernst, R.N. (Thomas). She was also a proud Grandmother to her six beloved grandchildren: Hannah, Lucia, Bronwyn, Penelope, Arnold, and Margaret, all of whom she aimed to spoil with love, chocolate, hugs, and kisses … XOXOXO. Mary will be dearly missed and we will forever love her a whole bunch.
Mary had a creative soul as an artist and florist and loved to surround herself with flowers. However, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Mary’s legacy to the CH.I.L.D. Foundation where she so passionately devoted many years of her life working for a cure for Chron’s and Colitis in children.
A funeral service will be held in celebration of Mary’s life at St. Christopher’s Anglican Church in West Vancouver at 2pm on May 30, 2026.
