Nancy Anne Leeming

June 25, 1955 – August 13, 2026

Nancy passed away on August 13, 2026, at the age of 71, after an extraordinary 15+ year battle with cancer. She faced her illness with remarkable strength, courage, and determination, never allowing it to define her. Through every challenge, Nancy remained a true warrior, fighting with incredible resilience and spirit.

Nancy never shied away from helping other cancer patients. She shared her experience, offered advice, and helped guide others through their own journeys, always with a warm smile and a willingness to help.

Nancy had a long career with BC Hydro, where she met and fell in love with David. Together, they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, a wonderful milestone in a life filled with love and partnership.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, David Leeming and son, Kevin Leeming, along with her sisters, Linda Deverill (Bruce), Susan Barry (Dennis), and her sisters-in-law, who Nancy considered her honorary sisters and who were a tremendous source of love and support: Diane Whidden, Derry Khan (Ash), and Donna Leeming.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the incredible and compassionate teams at Lions Gate Hospital, especially Nancy’s Cancer Care team, for their care, kindness, and unwavering support.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy’s memory to the BC Cancer Foundation or Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.

A Private Family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
