Born to Emmett and Therese Harrigan, Pat spent her early years in Cleveland, OH with her younger siblings, Robert, Mary and Emmett. Pat was a very gifted reader and student. After graduating High School in 1941 the family moved to the Los Angeles, CA area where she lived most of her life until her move in 2000 to Vancouver, BC. Pat attended UCLA upon arriving in Los Angeles, CA. but stopped to work full time to help her family. Within a couple of years she met and was married to Joseph Benjamin Stone with whom she had five children. She met and married her second husband, William Eaton in 1963 and they remained married until Bill’s passing.
Pat entered the workforce and began a very long and successful career in housing and home loan financing and disaster relief working for 40 years with various large institutional groups including Fannie Mae and FEMA.
Pat’s lively, charismatic personality, keen intellect and tendency towards being outspoken afforded her many lifelong friends and relationships. With a natural compassion, humanity and kindness, she always made a difference in people’s lives. Pat was proud of her Irish heritage and truly embodied the Irish gift of gab, artful humour, always leaving one with the feeling of possibility.
