Bill flew his final flight on April 28th, 2018 following a lengthy illness. He is mourned by his wife Betty and his 3 sons and their wives David and Suzanne, Don, Jim and Roberta and his beloved granddaughter Anna. Also surviving him are his brothers in law, George Couldwell and Ken Bennett and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Lucia and Clayton Prentice, His sisters Jane Couldwell and Betty Bennett and nephew Ken Bennett Jr.
Bill was an avid sailor, bridge player and skier. His great passion, however, was his love of flying. He took his initial training with the RCAF and went on in civilian life to become an airline captain with Wardair, retiring in 1989.
The family would like to Thank Doctors Early and Comeau and the dedicated and caring nurses on floors 4, 6 and 7 at Lions Gate Hospital.
Bill was a true gentleman and family man and will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 2347 Inglewood Avenue, West Vancouver, B.C. on Friday May 11th, 2018 at 1:00pm.
