Every memory of Chris makes me smile. When we were teenagers, he would pick me up in his car to play tennis at the Lake Charles Racquet club. I wish I could remember what car he drove but I know it was MAROON and it was the ONLY one like it I had ever seen. He had a Duran Duran cd single that played over and over and it drove me crazy! My twin brother and I spent the night at his house once and witnessed Chris eat jalapeno's straight out of the jar for a midnight snack. He taught us to play "Gin Rummy" that night. 
One day, I got a call from a mutual friend that Chris had wrecked that same maroon car coming off the interstate near Sulphur. Turns out his cruise control got stuck and he couldn't stop the vehicle. He wasn't hurt and laughed when he told us the whole story! Darn near every time I hit the cruise control on my car for the last 24 years, I thought of Chris. He laughed a LOT. We laughed a LOT. And man...the girls loved him!   Thanks for the memories, "Buddy-Ro!"  Our souls will meet on the tennis court one day and MAYBE I will break your serve. 

Chris was always a great friend to me and my husband.  We loved seeing Chris because we knew he would keep us entertained with his stories and antics. 

He was very sweet and thoughtful.  When our son was born 10 years ago, he spent a week in the NICU.  When Chris found out, he went straight to the hospital to check on all of us.  I don't know many 30  year old bachelors that would have taken the time do so such a sweet and meaningful gesture.  But that was Chris.  And I will always remember that about him.

I would always tell Chris how much I loved him and enjoyed hanging out with him.  He would always tell me that if I spent more time with him, I would not like him as much.  I never thought that was true and it breaks my heart to not be able hang out with him anymore.

I will miss his sly grin and the twinkle in his eye.

I’m so sad that Chris is no longer in this world. I will miss his brilliant mind, that often drove me crazy. I will miss his great fashion sense.  I wanted to share this very handsome photo of him from a Mardi Gras Ball in 2016.

Chris loved to debate and talk your ear off (mostly about Game of Thrones).  He made the best mash-potatoes, because “you have to use the real stuff” and could be found at every single  family gathering- no matter how small. He loved animals and taught me that rescuing a dog is never a mistake.  He told me how proud he was of me every time I saw him- despite my eye rolls.  He never left family get-togethers  without a hug for each person, especially mawmaw. When Charlie first got a boat, I can remember Chris taking us younger cousins on our 10th revolution of the lake because no one wanted to be out anymore. He would say there was no such thing as wasting gas when we’re “riding in style.” He always made time for family and will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his son Charlie Ryan Buller, 8; his parents; brother, Alex Cory Buller and sister Haley Buller Meaux (Brad); paternal grandmother, Delores Buller and maternal grandmother, Willie Oxford of Westlake. 

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charlie Buller, Jr. and maternal grandfather, Emile Hoag.
