Corey Shane Wix

He was born in Sulphur and lived most of his life in Westlake. Corey attended Waters Edge Church. He loved baseball, basketball, racing motorcycles and cars. Corey was always right and had the last word. He loved his family and extended family. Corey enjoyed social media and playing his Xbox. He lived life to the fullest and was always full of adventures. Corey loved life.

Survivors include his parents, Shannon and Jamie Wix; his birth mother, Patricia Karl; son, Bentley Shane Wix and his mother, Brook Bell; brother, Donovan Alderson; sisters, Kaitlyn and Kloie Wix; and his grandparents, Sarah and Patrick Guidry and Linda and Frankie Wix. He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother “Amo” and many more.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 31, 2015 from 5pm-9pm and will resume on Friday from 8am until service time at 2pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Burial will be at Westlake Memorial Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
