He very proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. Delton worked as a Pipefitter at Conoco Phillips and retired after over 30 years of service. He then began his entrepreneurship owning and managing rental properties. Delton adored being in the outdoors, whether it was fishing, cooking, or camping. He had a mechanical knack for fixing just about anything that was broken. Delton was a jack of all trades. He thoroughly enjoyed dancing to Cajun music and could speak fluent Cajun-French. Delton loved to socialize and never met a stranger. He was a blessing to his family and will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
