Edwin G. Dixon

He was a lifetime resident of Westlake. He worked for Firestone for 26 years. He owned and operated Sonny's Hardware in Westlake for 33 years.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lillian B. Dixon of Westlake; sons Edwin Glenn Dixon, Jr. (Barbara) of Lakeland, Florida and Brian Wayne Dixon (Caroline) of Westlake; daughter Lisa Dixon Cole (Bruce) of Moss Bluff; brothers Dudley Ray Dixon, Sr. (Flora) of Westlake and Jerry Lynn Dixon (Becky) of West Virginia; sister Helen Budge (Ray) of Moss Bluff; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Edwin R. and Eolian Dixon and his sister Marion Westbrook.

His funeral will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 30, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel in Westlake. The Reverend Richard Watson will officiate. Burial will be in Westlake Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Sunday from 3:00 to 9:00 PM at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake and resume Monday at 8:00 AM until service time.
